And it's only Day 4!

Makes me proud to be a cyclist, not a poncy footballer who cries like a girl when he gets a tap on the shin.

Some brilliant pics there.

Also enjoyed watching Simon Gerrans trying to catch the peloton yesterday while the race doctor mopped up the blood that was streaming down his face.

Surprising amount of gore on Armstrong, isn't there?

The wee Euskadi guy was in the wars today as well, that would have made some good photos.

<edit> Just found out Txurruka won't be starting tomorrow, he broke his collarbone in that crash. Respect for riding the remaining 120km before giving up though!

In the very last shot look at the expensive camera on the ground right where the rider is about to land.
Also, in the third shot from the end, the first of that trio, look at the lower falling rider's fingers.  They appear to be in the spokes of the bike behind.

Good gory gods.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

I think 17 through to 19 happened because of the cameraman being there!!
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

who was it who came off on a right hander yesterday, and the cameras showed him sliding on his hip then getting up onto his cleats and then grabbing the bike again - all without stopping sliding across the road?

I'd be whimpering for me mam in any of these situations.

Yes, that was impressive. The sooner you get to your feet the less the road rash!

Notice that proper wheels with proper spokes seem to have made a come back.

I have noticed them in the mountain stages.

Where was that carbon-fail link showing wheels that snap like water biscuits?
