Title: Ivy growth within hedges

Anyone have a method of eliminating ivy growth within conifer hedging. I have nuked the ivy at the base of the hedge successfully with Rosate 36 but still have strong growth vertically within  a few areas of the hedge  itself. I can only think of lying on the floor and trying to cut the stems manually before  it dominates. Any other methodology? TIA.

that's about it, I've had a similar issue.  You may be able to manually pull soem out of the hedge, but IME it tends to just break into bits

Physical removal IS the most effective method for hedera. It’s not difficult. Avoid herbicide use as you’ll affect the hedge itself.

Cut ivy at base of conifer,if possible and then about 1/2 metre up the trunk. It will slowly die off and become easier to remove
