Can I suggest we leave Tollesbury 'til later in the year when Ted and I can co-ordinate a boats, bikes and beer night?

Cheers

Good thinking.

A nice evening tide would be perfect for getting out again the morning - not sure if you would make it back on to your mooring with the last of the flood but you'd have a sporting chance.

No
May I refer the honourable gentleman to this quote
I will absent myself from this week's discussion as I'm not 100% I can attend.  If I do I will go with the flow, or the tide.

^ Wot, no Dogger's Lane?

I may be able to intercept on one of the loops, when I've worked out which way you'll be heading!

It’s my birthday tomorrow so I probably won’t be along... though who knows with me!
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

In the interest of loop avoidance diversity I have plotted this route, it also gives the Westerners opportunity of easier interception, if desired. (Doggers Lane can be incorporated, although it is currently avoided; not so much activity in the summer evening sun anyway.)
A General's Arms scoop up of GS will obviously be much later than usual, maybe about 20:40, extra time to rest those legs  ;)

I'm back to being doubtful for this evening, too much to do pre-holiday.  If I'm not at the roundabout go without me.

We are holidaying in Stow Maries for the evening so may pop up for a late drink, what time do you think you’ll be there?

So next week it is the legendary Chelmsford Beer Festival....

Problem is, this *might* clash with the World cup England game should they be successful on Saturday.

Some of the group were concerned about this potential issue so I have asked the Festival if they have any plans to show the game.  When I hear back I'll let you know.

An alternative was discussed to reschedule to another mid-week day (Thursday or Tuesday).  The Festival starts on Tuesday 10th so both are possible but I recall last night I think Tomsk had an existing engagement on one of the nights as did Huggy (Thursday night?)...

So - Wed if the footy is being shown or either Tue or Thurs if not... show of hands please??

Joergen

The Oddy in Colchester is not showing any of the Football if anyone fancies that....although the Beer Festival is obviously the preference.

Both Tuesday and Thursday are possible, but no more.

I think they are playing the commentary from a wireless.  In case any of you kids think I'm referring to wee fee, I'm not, I'm referring to a proper wireless, like a Roberts  ;D

Sorry I missed last night.  I'm off now, back last week of July, unless of course we decide to stay en France forever and ever, which is an increasingly tempting thought  ;D
