It's "Ride for Helen" this Sunday, so Jos and I are wobbling around the 65 Mile route....

I won't be out this evening I'm afraid.  Very late night last night as I have a poorly wife  :'(  She'll be OK but we both need an early night and some decent kip.  Have fun folks.

BTW - I was thinking of going for a spin on Sunday.  No plans yet but if anyone fancies accompanying me we can hatch a plan.

Barring any late work disasters, I am hoping to be out on Wednesday - should we head in direction of Rose & Crown / Walnut Tree given that didn't happen last week?

Not sure I'll be out as need potentially need to be on the train to Manchester in the morning + knackered ankles...

Wowbagger is camping it up near Birch on Tuesday if there's any interest from others to visit him in the pub & tent.

I've been onto the Layer Breton Hare & Hounds and despite info on their website, they aren't open for food on a Tuesday. They are on Wednesday evenings so I have decided to potter out there then. £8.50 a night for small tent camping and somewhere to recharge my ebike battery.

Depending on how Wednesday goes, I may join you on the clown bike as I need to pick up a train ticket and it's sort of on the way :D
Ideally I'd like to arrive in the daylight, what's the thoughts on arrival time?

 For a change, I'll try a bit of off-road tomorrow evening - (Hayron's Lane from High Easter) and might be tempted by some of the byways around Pleshey. So maybe a little after 20:00 for me.

Makes a nice change to have the venue sorted well in advance. Reminiscing the good old days  :)

Should be nice and warm this evening. Rain coming in later.

See you all around 8pm at the Rose and Crown in Great Waltham.

That's a lovely gravel track and even better all downhill from the High Easter side! :)

Is it time to have another Shit Essex Roads ride so we can hoover up all the local gravel or COR as we used to call it.

 And Friday night bivi? To avoid/get mixed-up in Ride London/celebrate the Solstice in June/avoid the Jubilee etc? (Bearing in mond I have a Fenland Friends helpers' ride on 18th June and the event the following weekend ...)

If my legs will work I'd be up for something...

I have a fab 100km around this bit of Essex COR plus there was a prior 100km or so in the East so between them I am sure we can magic up something.... not sure how we might manage a discrete bivvi if there's a group of us however - Next Friday is out for me as I am at some leaving drinks in CHM.

Shame for such a nice weather evening but I'm passing on being out on the bike. Moved the new shed kit to rear garden today, that's apparently more than enough exercise for me.

Great to see Jan out tonight, seems the FWP have retired from Wednesday night excursions!

New COR discovered tonight linking Broomfield Hospital to Broads Green.

Rain just started now in CHM 22:50.

A bit later in Stortford, thankfully after I’d arrived home.

Right then, this week...

I'm not away in some glamorous Up North location and Real Life TM permitting I should be available to ride on Wednesday evening.  Dakota has a slight problem I need to discuss with BFC but BJ and Fred in touring mode are both on the launch pad.

What's the plan?
