He is trying to convince me it is 4 o'clock, by virtue of resting his wet, smelly muzzle on my left hand. This makes typing awkward, but not impossible.

$nametobedecided, my new 9 week old male cockatiel is now struggling to keep his ickle eyes open. Been a busy day for the wee chappie exploring his new cage in his forever home!

Daf has just appeared through the cat flap. It's pouring with rain out there. He just sauntered to the middle of the kitchen and then shook himself like a dog. Not "a bit like a dog", but a real doggie shake. Start at the head, work down to the tail, then back up towards the head end again.
I've never seen a cat do that before.

It's possibly about time I made a pet-related contribution to this thread.

Sammy (Cat): Currently MIA, presumed dead - she'd be about 27, not sure what the record is for a cat.
Gemma (Cat - offspring of Sammy): Currently MIA, presumed dead.
Gizmo (Cat): MIA, presumed dead.
Widget (Cat - sibling of Gizmo): (recently) deceased - top innings there, Widge.
Pixie (Cat): Currently dead. Run over when probably not even a year old.
Dixie (Cat - sibling of Pixie): Unknown. When Pixie died, Dixie lost the plot and went to live with our friends in Skipton - with a new name.
Watson (Dog - Gordon Setter): Dead - put down after attacking daughter #1. Not our finest pet-owning hour, TBH

Flea (Cat): Alive and well. A bit potty, by all accounts.

Numerous Rabbits, Goldfish, Gerbils, Hamsters and Mice have been excluded from this summary.

If we are careless enough to leave the lids up both Barry and Isabella the Adolescent Cats like drinking from our loos.

But Isabella loves lounging about in the bath and sinks ...

She's not read the memo stating cats don't like getting wet as she regularly turns the taps on and gets soaked

Ours (Oreo and Twix) love doing that too, if they can't get in the house they sit in the drains at the bottom of the downpipes! I guess it's a shelter thing.

When I'm in the shower Pete crouches on the side of the bath, either watching the water going down the plughole, or meowing at me from the other side of the shower curtain.

One of my brothers used to have a cat that would piddle down the plughole in the bath rather than use the litter tray.

Morphy is in the habit of resting his head on the mouse-wrist. If that doesn't work, he quite often very gently gets hold of my little finger in his teeth and lifts my hand off the mouse. He won't stop until he gets my full attention, usually involving being tickled under the chin, or being given some sort of treat.
