Freya is missing as usual. Not exactly missing as we know where her favourite place to sleep is, which isn't this house at present. There's some wasteland behind some garages four houses down and she sleeps there all curled up in the long weeds - strange cat...

Her sister Anja is wandering around aimlessly. Since they both turned three in June it's like having teenagers.

They were three in early June so birthday parties were out of the question. They had some tuna though

Mine is outside, probably eating discarded takeaways. I'm not sure which bits she eats. Maybe some chicken if there's no sauce on it. She (a cat) is a very fussy eater. The vet wants her to lose weight but I can't stop her eating rubbish unless I keep her in.

Cats are watching D fettle and clean his bike.
There has been a rear wheel visitation, the offending flint has been located and removed and the tube patched in situ. Hydraulic disc brakes and hub gears make wheel removal somewhat complex.

[OT ETA] D's tyre has just deflated. I've done all his patching previously...
[ETA] Deflation not due to patch failure. Will grumble elsewhere.

Last evening the parrot was clinging to the side of his cage and crying "woe, woe" like a prophet of doom.  Sure enough, at midnight we went into lockdown.

I suspect, but don't know, that both cats are having a duvet day on the throw that covers the grand piano.

So, our cats get fed 3 times a day, and Pingu has trained Pumpkin to give out kisses when she wants fed. I always do breakfast and we split dinner and supper up as they come (pre-lockdown dinner would be done by whoever was home first, and Pingu would do supper.)
Now, after us both WFH since March, where I am in the loft and Pingu is in the living room, he mostly does dinner so I do supper during the week.
Apparently this has been going on so long she can't do it the other way. Today I did dinner so Pingu should have got a kiss and dispensed supper.
20 mins of him requesting a kiss and nothing... I give her a shout and get a kiss instantly. Clearly she thinks I get the supper time kisses now.

I'm the one who feeds Tilley the most. The very few times the job falls to Peli, Tilley still comes to me after to say thanks

Tilley have started to scratch herself all over and we have been trying to figure out what is the reason. We know that she is allergic to chicken and have cut that out of all food/snacks. We have found, on the tinterweb, that carrots can also give the same symptoms as we are seeing Tilley have atm. So we will cut that from her starting today to see if the scratching is food related.

This is going to be a mission.

Cause she have always had a carrot as her afternoon snack at about 1500. She will start to nag us an hour before, nudging our legs, pulling out her bedding and throwing it around. Before she starts to kick the sofa or back door followed by these little growl come barks, while walking backwards, to then walk over to kick the door/sofa again. This is only getting louder and louder until she gets her carrot. We can't say the word carrot - she have now learned root vegetable, spelling it and other words like orange etc - without her going spare.

So I gotta have my finger ready on the mute button for my 15:00 meeting today, she isn't going to best pleased
