OK, I own a Geko 201. Use it mainly for speed and distance when I'm on the bike.

Off the bike I use it for playing complicated games!  ;D


So! On the bike, what is it's realistic potential?

I used one to guide me on a 2-week tour.
No problems though I think the types that display a map are better company, and well worth the extra weight/bulk/cost.
[edit] actually the main thing I miss on the Geko is the lack of audible prompts.

I did set it to 'battery save' mode because battery runtime doesn't quite last for a day on the bike and changing the batteries (with the bike mount fitted) is a bit messy.  But battery save mode works very well IMO.
