What the most cycle friendly places to cross the A40 north- south?

Looking to put some longer routes together in lands unexplored

Others may know alternatives. When I go home from Watlington I go from Oxford to Eynsham cross the A40 at a crossing, then follow the cycle path on the northside of the A40 into Whitney.
Most people tip-toe through life hoping the make it safely to death.

If you're in no hurry then get to the west of Witney, there's a very nice route along the Windrush valley towards Burford,  via Minster Lovell, Asthall and there are a couple of relatively easy crossings to be had.  Alternatively on the eastern edge of Witney the road to South Leigh goes under the racetrack.  Otherwise as bikepacker says there's a light controlled crossing at the Cassington junction.
