Loose bog seats seem to be more common than well-fixed ones to the disabled traveller...

They're only scoring marginally better for the non-disabled traveller, though I expect the ones in accessible loos get subjected to more sideways stress as people transfer from wheelchairs.  The rot set in when they started deliberately making the nuts out of brie, in order that application of ham-fisted monkey force wouldn't crack the bowl when people tried to sort out the wobbly bog seat.

Proximal muscle weakness in many crips means we descend more heavily than ableds and exert forward shear forces on the bolts when rising.

Speaking of which. Could hotel chains etc please train their cleaning staff that when the bog seat is all wobbly it can be rectified by twiddling of a wing nut under the pan?
I nearly fell off the bog thanks to an unsecured seat on the way home from France.

Had they overbooked again?

Went in a restaurant toilet in Utrecht last night. I nearly fell down the toilet because it was square and rather wider than I'm used to.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

If it is square does that mean there is no place for the hip?

Or that it's the place to be when you're really, really scared?

Going through some of my Cuba photos I came across this one.

Tirar (AFAIK) means pull or throw, which is intrinsically confusing, so "Twitch" is a good substitute.

Could it be translated as "Slam"?

Could it be translated as "Slam"?

Or "Yank"?

Methinks they meant 'touch' and mistook twitch for touch.

Slidy doors should not be pulled or touched.

No Yanks in Cuba! (Obviously)

I interpreted it as "open" – the handle is broken and either the door has to be opened from inside or you have to get in the the other door.

Tirar can also mean shoot.  I'm sure this is helpful.

I nicked that off the mudguard of a German triker while riding the North Sea route.

I then had it painted on my back for the Brighton World Naked Bike Ride, and photos ended up in the Standard and the Graun.

The problem was that the paint was UV proof and during my Danube ride a little later I had the slogan stencilled on my back...

Bilingual signage in Aldershot, so I guess the bottom bit is नेपाली (Nepali).

Are conditions in Aldershot so hostile that pedestrian is only a singular entity?

Some of our local "CYCLIST REJOIN CARRIAGEWAY" signs got removed when they molished the A38 segregated cycleway.
