French political drama, subtitled, on More4.

Politicians and spin-doctors portrayed as people - all of them with morals that come in varying shades of grey.  Far more subtle than House of Cards.  The central character is Simon Kapita, spin doctor.  He doesn't have the charisma of a Kevin Spacey or even a Martin Sheen, yet he is more believable than either.

The architecture of Paris, particularly l'Elysee, plays its own part.  The goings-on are less sinister (up to now, I'm up to Series 2 episode 6) than the American dramas but the characters are more credible.

I'm hooked.

We've kept taping it, but as yet, not watched. Our attention has been focussed on: Happy Valley, Trapped, and now … The Night Manager. We seem to have a small weather-window-of -watching, between dinner and falling asleep.
