« on: 30 August, 2012, 02:10:08 pm »
just popped round to see a neighbour and get some welding done on my tractor's front loader, got the job done and then he asked me if I wanted some eggs, well not one to tune down a freebe, I said yes and off we wander to the chicken shed were upon he picks up a large box and hands it over, where do you want this I said, plonker he says, they're the eggs so I now have 360 eggs to find a use for,

They are from new birds just come in to lay,all graded and stamped but the shops don't want them as they are small ??

Lay them out in a large circle, with each one denoting one degree.
Getting there...

Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke ate 50 eggs in an hour. So, being generous, you've got a little over 7 hours to eat them.

I like the sound of egg curry, could be rather explosive :demon:

I did think about pickling a load but I only just threw half a jar away that I made in 2006, not before having a sample  but they weren't as bad as the 2004 gherkins   that I also found at the same time,
the quiche is a damn good idea I'm quite good at doing them and we have a load of bacon in the fridge, looks like I may be stuck in the kitchen for a day or two, haven't tried lemon curd have to look up a recipe for that, thanks for the ideas

I can't find any Mrs Pike recipes, :)

Pickle them and then sell them to yacfers. Bobb'll be good for at least three jars.  ;D

They'll keep fresh for at least 2 weeks, so you have time to experiment - by taking half a dozen, beating them well, then freezing them. I've not tried it myself but apparently it works. Then obviously defrost and see what results you get from say omelette, quiche etc.
