As I found out before on this forum, Londoners think that snot is naturally black.

I've never experienced this fabled black snot despite living, working and cycling in London for 8 years.

But then I do stay away from the grimy north.

I like London :) granted it can be loud, busy and turn your snot black. But it does also have some magnificent bits. You take the good with the bad.

Londonton is the business.  We have the Underground Railing-Way, electric lights and the 12 Bar Club.  Everywhere else is full of murderers called Jethro, and things that bite.

My Mum told me that people who live outside the M25 eat their own babies.

Everywhere outside the M25 is France, isn't it?

At least it's their own and not other people's.

This born and bred Londoner never had any black snot. Must be immune to it or something.

I like London lots. I have been here all this time and there is still so much of it to discover, lots of interesting nooks and crannies and history 'n' stuff. And I love the views I get cycling over the Thames and back each day. Maybe I will change my mind when I am older, but for now it does me just fine. The only thing that does annoy me is the fact that I do have to ride for a bit to get out to roads where I am not stopping at traffic lights every few mins, but we do have Trains for that kind of thing.

Pollution was appalling this morning - really crunchy air.  My lungs were missing the relative calm of the A646.
Getting there...

IME black snot is largely a tube thing. I haven't had it since I stopped using it.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Black snot is a deep line tube thing. Go on the Northern, Piccadilly etc and you'll have the snot of a coal miner. The District line is okay on the snot-o-meter. I recommend cycling instead, though  :)

Although it's way better than it used to be, I have to report that a trip through central London onna bike, breathing in the fumes from the buses can produce alarmingly nasty nasal secretions as well.

Well, not so much secretions, as little black snotballs...

Nom nom nom!

It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.
