Not only is my home town of Hinckley the home of the Hansom cab, it is also the birthplace of John Boultbee Brooks inventor of the Brooks saddle, and this has been recognized with a blue plaque https://www.hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk/press/article/2066/great_grandson_attends_blue_plaque_unveiling
