Early? Let it Bleed was their 8th album! But I suppose it's relative. I forget they didn't actually disband after Exile, I just like to think they did.

I was offered a ticket to see the Stones at Roundhay Park, 1985 ?

I turned it down. The reason ?   "They're past it."

Roll on a number of decades and I finally got to see them at Twickenham with the kids about five years ago.

I was offered face value tickets to a Stones gig at Earl's Court, about 2 days before the gig in 1975.
Probably one of the best gigs I have ever attended.
