I don't see that "skilled" and "reckless" are necessarily mutually exclusive. Both are appropriate descriptions of the riding in the video.

I find a lot of this video exciting to watch but some of the near misses with vehicles and especially with pedestrians make me wince and kinda ruin the flow of the riding. They're generally the bits when the riders make judgements that I consider reckless/selfish.

Quite so, but the reason i don't have the skills is that I have no desire to gain them.  in fact quite the reverse.  They seem symptomatic of bad habits that I am actively trying to remove
