A very interesting piece on Boingboing about Bisphenol-A:

Turns out that this stuff is potentially quite nasty and the big manufacturers would really rather we didn't pay attention to all those pesky peer-reviewed studies...

I remember it from the earlier epoxy resin systems (powdercoating)   :-X
I had to wear all sorts of protective cloths, masks  when using it
