Lunch today is a Dishoom Kejriwal.

Marvellous!

We made the Dishoom chicken biryani last week. Also rather excellent.

Cut 1.5cm off each side the handlebars on my newly flat-barred Van Nic Yukon (not with the bandsaw mentioned up-thread  ;D ;D) - and fitted very expensive Ergon grips/barends.

Turns out that DPD weren't being Useless Workshy Twats and taking a week to deliver a next-day parcel.  Someone somewhere had made a transcription error, and they'd delivered it to a house on the other side of the road that features neither  a) our front door  nor  b) my feet.

This would have been easier to ascertain if $we_sell_network_kit had provided tracking details on the order status page, rather than pretending they were using an untracked service.

I've just remembered that Procurve switches have weird rack ears that use a single central mounting screw.  This meant that replacing the switch with suspected droid rot involved  a) bad swears necessitated by moving cage nuts around[1] in limited space  b) an insufficiency of screws to be found in the official 'spare rack mount gubbins' jiffy bag.

[1] Though thankfully on recommendation of someone who does this more regularly, I have the spudger-like tool that stops you stabbing yourself in the web of the thumb by trying to do it with a screwdriver.

Hello,
I have Flying Scot FS1845. It's my favorite bike lately.  On the Flickr Flying Scot group a person posted that he was told "7 or 8 guys" built the later day Flying Scot frames.  Is that true? Would we recognize these builders?

As a leaflet delivering volunteer I can confirm that we tried to make one round just after we expected postal voting forms to land (and there are a lot of postal votes in Tower Hamlets)

In a follow up, two of the staff from the college, Manor Green in Crawley, who made it all happen, went to a Garden Party at Buck House t'other day, in recognition of the hard work they put in. Hurrah.
Excellent, but what were the hand driers like?

It was their day off...
