No that I own a mobile nor a GPS device for that matter, but this might prove useful for those that do own mobiles.

And it's FREE too. Which is nice.

Action Medical Research has teamed up with Map My Tracks  - a GPS tracking tool that uses your mobile phone to record your rides.

The software is simple to use and requires a download to your mobile which allows you to use it as a tracking device.  It works in real time, meaning you can be followed at home on the pc; very useful if you want someone to know where you are.

Map My Tracks can also be a useful training tool as you can replay and compare your rides to monitor your progress. Next year we’ll be introducing the system across our 100-mile series so you can sign up, record your ride and see if you’ve beaten your buddies!

crashed first time I used it - it didn't warn me that I had to check backup to enable recovery, and you get just 1 hr of logging on the freebie service. the twitter integration involved it automatically putting a link to my profile page into my twitterfeed, and the website is so slow it's painful

Epic fail.

I'll be sticking with sport tracker.
