Bad news..

Diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and some VERY NASTY levels of stuff in my blood, possible already some Kidley damage!

Good News...

After over 15 years of bad medical stuff that is going to be with me for the rest of, stuff I can't change for the better, I have finally found a bit of a purpose to work at getting the Diabetes under good control.
You touch my Coffee and I'll slap you so hard, even Google won't be able to find you!

Pedaldog,

If you don't mind me being frank, physically you admit to being pretty fucked up (through no fault of your own). Mentally you sound to be right on the button mate

Good on ya!

Good news.  I have an appointment with a Consultant.  At last!
It is on a Saturday, which means Crusty can come.

Bad news.    It's a day I'm supposed to be going on a bike ride with my friends.

I hope it's re-schedule-able for another Saturday.

Bad news - my tpe wasn't a tpe, it was a guards van and reservations required GC.

Good news - they let me on anyway!

I'd hazzard a guess at Grand Central....

Just finished sanding the new speakers. Me thinks it's a little tall.

First the bad news

I should have done a 200km Perm today but didn't 'cause Murphy'sLaw manifasted itself at work late yesterday afternoon.A crush injury to right foot:the offending object missed my steel toe cap & fell onto the foot behind it IYSWIM.
At 0600hrs this morning the ball of my foot was swollen & painfull when weight was applied when standing up or trying to walk.I reckoned subjecting it to a 12 hour 200km ride wouldn't help ::-)

Now the good news
following a dose of Ibuprofen things improved late in the morning so I risked a local ride.See the "have you been out today" thread.

Well, I've been on the dole since April and all of a sudden two offers appear at once. Both with distinct pros & cons. I'm being pressed for an answer by the first one, but I need to clarify the second offer, so I've (just) managed to squeeze a window till Monday to decide.

Thanks, Fuzzy. They're both jobs I'd like to do, but the latest offer is much nearer, more suited to my experience, but pays significantly less, though I need to ask what the possibilities are for progression. It's a small, niche company, so possibly a gamble.

Gut feeling: the nearer option.

Money isn't everything. It helps and is important but, sometimes taking a bit of a financial hit for the sake of better conditions and the subsequent happier state is worth it in the long run.

As it happens, my vacillation has cost me the offer of the better paid job - and that was the intention.

Good news: I can avoid a major stressor in my life now that I've figured out what it is!

Bad news: it involves starting my day significantly earlier than before!
