Anyone know the story about why BikeHike no longer gives elevation data in France? There is no information on the "News" page.

It's working for me.
Firefox 45.2 on Slackware Linux.

That's very strange. No elevation data in south of France on either Firefox or Chrome.  It was first reported to me by some other folks planning a tour some weeks ago.

Which part of France were you looking at? (I know it still appears in the UK).

Start your route in the UK and cross the channel!
It seems that if you start your route in France you get no elevation.  ???
Once you've saved your route you'll have to ignore the unwanted bits at the front of the route.

ETA: It's being temperamental and not always giving elevation after starting in the UK.  ???
Put it down to a temporary glitch.

You could run the track you've created from bikehike through  http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/elevation to get elevation data.
What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!

Hmmm, much easier just to use ridewithgps and get it all done at one time.

Not just a temporary glitch as apparently has been doing it for some months.

I think BikeHike is pretty much unsupported these days.
