We got a car.

Woolly what can I say.

You could say...

See you at Long Itch?   :D

BAD :Had the car for two days and the radiator leaked, GOOD : Got a new radiator fitted for free today, ain't it great to have a real local garage.

Long Itch we will think very hard about that, lets see if we can fit it in.

BN: MegaCorp decided to feature me in the weekly-sent-to-umpteen-thousands newsletter

GN: Some old faces from over the years have got back in touch which may prove to be a Get Out Of Jail Free card

(Oh, and Greenbank - that does NOT count as spotting, OK?)

BN : incurred yet another puncture :(

GN : the new Marathon+ came off & went back on much easier than previously. :)

The bl**dy tube has deflated again >:(. This is the sixth time :o A leak in the same place as before.I reckon the tube is weak;it's a Bontranger.I have had problems with these before so have replaced it with a Hutchinson.Waiting now to see if it stays inflated.

I have checked the tyre for internal protrusions, checked that no spoke heads et al are protruding thru' the rim tape & satisfied myself that the valve is not faulty.

Each time the new Marathon + is taken off & refitted it becomes easier than previously.A small mercy.

BN:
Yet another deflation ::-)
The Hutchinson has failed at the site of a previous patch.

I have decided to spare no expense & now fitted a new tube.

Good news: Last day at work for a fortnight. Off touring tomorrow.

Bad news: My Infinity broadband is dead. DSL light flashing constantly on the modem. Helpful Santosh confirms a fault and raises a ticket. When can you be at home if we need to send an engineer out.....? .err in 2 weeks.....

Bad news: The Giro highlights are on after my bedtime on Eurosport. I can't get previous days programmes out of the online service.
Good news: BT Infinity with TV has Eurosport and can be had at perpetual towers (or so I'm led to believe - it does seem to be a mix of freeview and down the fibre).
Bad news: BT is experiencing unprecedented demand and are failing to process my order.

Good news - The Coalition is under threat and the Conservatives are getting jittery because of the rise of another party that has stolen 25% vote share.

Bad news - It's UKIP

Good News - The Brompton is back from the bike shop with a near rear triangle, bottom bracket and fixed brakes.
Bad News - I could have probably bought a bike for what it cost.

Good news:  I was pretty pleased with the result of my first ever attempt at handlebar taping.

Bad news:  4 miles and half a commute later I came off the bike and scuffed it up.  The skinned knee will fix itself but not the tape  >:(

GN: My hip hurts less than it did yesterday.
BN: It still hurts.

GN: When I grazed my anke yesterday I didn't even notice.
BN: I notice it now, whenever anything rubs against it.

GN: TRL has asked me to do another cycle farcility trial - for money, as always.
BN: It's this Friday, & I have some fear that my hip will still be painful.

GN: it is my birthday tomorrow and there are three separate cakes in the house already (chocolate beetroot, Vicky Sponge, Mars Bar rice krispy cake).
BN: I have caught a horrid lurgy from my dad and I'm feeling weak, wheezy and bleurgh. And cake isn't recommended for such ailments.  :'(

Starve a fever, feed a cold.
Define your ailment as 'a cold' and

ENJOY YOUR CAKE!
