Perhaps surprisingly, she is an unrepentant Welshovik last heard of living in Malmesbury.

What rozzers are these, that take notice of burglar alarms?    :o

This is leafy Surrey, where Crimes against Property are taken rather more seriously than, say, Crimes gainst Humanity.

That's the whole world, not just Surrey.

GN: I've found a place just down the road that does proper 900x600mm paving slabs that match my current patio so I could extend it a bit.

BN: I hadn't thought about them being nearly 70kg each. I'm going to have to think about how I get them home and in position

Because I'm stubbornly self reliant? There may be a reason I became an audaxer :)

I might have to, but if I do then I'll design the whole garden and get the lot landscaped. Laying 3 paving slabs seems quite a small job.

A Carry Freedom trailer will take 70kg, no problem.  If it's only three slabs you could do three trips.

My trailer will happily take three or four paving slabs of that size.

210Kg is not beyond the capabilities for an average car to carry for a one-off, short trip. It is, after all not far off the weight of 2 average adults, or 3 short and skinny ones.

I have carried much more, when the local waste recycling place used to take rubble FOC, in the back of $WHATEVER_CAR_I_HAD_AT_THE_TIME.

Cooincidentally considering using these for a waste bin hardstanding. They are a bit of a pain to handle and level though.

Take into consideration the BioNiC state of one of Marcus's arms, he is maybe being sensibly cautious trying not to manhandle 70kg slabs by himself.

While 70Kg is not a huge weight, it is very difficult to lift carefully in and out of a car without denting, scraping and scuffing the car plus straining the lifter. Certainly not to be tried single-handed, as it were.

GN: I have a new job that is marginally better than the one I already have.

BN: The offer is reliant upon good references. Whilst I haven't done anything wrong in my current job, I have been very assertive of my rights and entitlements. Lots of others aren't and get shat on, but that is seen as the norm. I'm hoping that the boss will be pleased to see the back of me and not muddy the waters. The other two referees will give glowing references though.
