Stick me down for (ideally) a bottom bunk somewhere and I'll try and figure the travel out. Having ridden to Malham once before in the middle of summer I can guarantee I won't be doing it in January!

No - from York, after work on the Friday. I'll figure summat out! I might be able to ask the Cubs' other family to have 'em the Sunday night and stay til the Monday, if not I'll need to get back by Sunday teatime.

The owner has just stressed to me that the bunkbarn only fits 32 people in total (children are included in that 32) so we will have to be discreet with day visitors (I didn't let on we would have any) as they're strictly speaking not allowed. I think this is a recent change to their T&Cs because they have had pretty bad experiences with people staying elsewhere in the village and cramming into the barn as their central hub. I reassured her that we are all fine upstanding citizens (mostly) and wouldn't dream of behaving badly.

They want a deposit of 50% so I'll send a PM round shortly asking for some moolah from you kind people.
