Composites suppliers

I need to do some composite moulding. I haven't done any for a several years, so am out of touch with suppliers of materials.

There was a post on YACF a month or so ago which linked to reasonable priced supplier, but I can't find the post.

Someone on here must know where it is best to buy Carbon & kevlar fabrics, epoxy & polyester resins and tools to work them...

ABL Stevens seems to be still going: www.resin-supplies.co.uk

However, when I last wanted fibreglass + epoxy, I ordered from a marine suppliers, www.marinestore.co.uk as they were slightly cheaper.  Like you, that was quite a while ago.

I bought some pre-cured sheet from http://www.easycomposites.co.uk - they were very helpful and had a good range of other products too.

i've used mb fibreglass (who do more than just fibreglass) for a number of things, and Tiranti for rubber.

+1 for these guys - I made some model aeroplane components last year, very successfully.  Didn't know exactly what I wanted but went along and they sold me everything I needed, and explained why.

I'll need some more polyester soon to make some new moulds and I'll be going there again.  Their yard is a bit ramshackle, but they definitely know what they are doing and selling.

Seconded for Alec Tiranti and all things silicone / rubber.
