Tour of Britain watching - Stage 4; 5 September - Meriden?
« on: 22 August, 2018, 05:18:15 pm »
So this year stage 4 of the ToB goes through Warwickshire, and I was pondering riding over to watch the peloton go by. It's the first day of term for my girls, but I reckon if I drop them and head on the road by 9:15 I should be able to make Meriden before the race gets there - the schedule estimates it should pass through between about 11:40 and 11:50. Anyone else potentially interested?

Not Meriden but it also comes through Wellesbourne, S of Warwick, where there is a sprint section scheduled for 1245-1300.

Shameless plug:  The bike shop in Wellesbourne (in Bridge Street, usually closed on Wednesdays) will be open from about 1000 until the ToB broom wagon has gone by at about 1315.  We'll have some freebie drinks and snacks .. and a toilet!   All cyclists welcome - we'll have the track pump near the door in case Froome or Thomas need tyres topping up ;D
