I am planning to come along tot he Queens head, just not sure from which direction at this point. I'm also off the booze after another pretty nasty Gout attack over the weekend....that's 2 years out of 4 I have had one in the week leading up to Hereward. I'll probably head off quite early as my 04:30 wake up call comes around way too quickly and I need to get some rest before the weekend (I know....I can hear all the violin's playing for me)

Anyway, OD, I might give you a call tonight about picking the flaps up from OD towers on my way home this evening. If that doesn't work I will get them tomorrow please.

I think I've chosen the standard ACME menu choice of 300km on Friday, 50Km on Sunday, but I then went with an added side order of Mrs Jiberjaber's birthday and her parents over for the weekend

Hi Each,
I'll join the peloton at the top of North hill tonight at the usual time.

I'm planning just the barons 200 mile this weekend as it is a long wait for the next centenary event.

I'll be there - probably pick up the peloton on it's way out of Witham along Maldon Road.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

If I think on I will bring along a spare set of flaps in the hope I can relieve you of £13.50.

Looking at the slightly better conditions I may actually scoot home and ride back to Maldon on the Croix de Fer. I'd quite like to give it a  bit of a Spin before Hereward and it kind of looks like it might be OK this evening. Don't wait around for me if I am not at Spa Road will meet you at the Queens Head.

I'm gutted to miss out on a pannier carrying, 74 inch North Hill ascent!

There is a possibility of collecting my Brother in Law from Great Leighs this week, the route ridden the last time that was a possibility:
Ok, if we need to collect my BiL from Gt Leighs and deliver him back later here is a route proposal.
In the absence of any update the Witham peloton will go with this route.  If the BiL decides not to come out to play we could do the classic Compasses route via TMNH and Boreham for a similar 9pm arrival.

Is that the outward route that involved a few off road sections and a lot of very fresh kitty litter last time?
The kitty litter should have settled in, but the off road sections could be a bit soggy.
Trying to decide which bike to use.

Ah yes, I'll work out a route to avoid the COR....if I can remember where it was on the route to avoid....found it and eliminated the COR from the original track....now safe to use  ::-)
No COR just before Felsted route

Have fun gents. Once again I can't make the compasses...damn it! The eldest of the Mini Tippers is coming into London for Work Experience with me tomorrow so best I make sure I am in a fit state. Also, trying to fettle some 52mm mudguards into a gap that is less than 52mm wide... I think I need a new frame

Monkey, Terling still on? ...If I have a working bike - a bottom bracket problem with the LEL machine [Ruby Holdsworth] means I might be on fixed, again. So more fettling needed on the plan B bike.
