Is this a caution to your woollen winter undergarments?

Heard my first swifts of the year this morning. :)
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

They might be the same ones I heard in Essex on Wednesday!

My legs and Fingers!
Lots of wildlife activity on the 5:30 commute, it brings a smile to my face.

I had really had it with the dark and wet this year to the point where I was making excuses to take the car. It's all good again!

My Bramley tree is finally coming into blossom.
The eating apples have not yet bloomed.

It's a weird spring; some things were very early. Some weren't.

I may, or may not, have mentioned this in connetion ith Helly's post above.

The oaks seem to be coming into leaf very early this year, much earlier than the ash. They even seem to have beaten the horse chestnuts.

I don't keep a record of such things, so I can't be sure how unusual it is, but it seems so to me.

pear trees here full blossom, hardly a flower to be seen on apples except imminent buds on young bramley. Gooseberries have already set fruit whilst rhubarb is not yet big enough to pull. Lots oaks now in full leaf, does seem a bit topsy turvy
....after the `tarte de pommes`, and  fortified by a couple of shots of limoncellos,  I flew up the Col de Bavella whilst thunderstorms rolled around the peaks above

Oak before ash, we'll have a splash!

Pear tree next door and mirabelle plums blossomed ages ago.
Magnolia on other side has nearly finished its flowers.

Motorbikes, motorbikes, nobbut bloody motorbikes, all day long.  Spring is come, the birds are singing, let's drown the buggers out and poison them. Vroom, vroom, look at me I'm Darth Vader in my leather duds and black visor (but underneath I'm an accountant).  Bloody noisy stinking motorbikes, fuck off back to Hell. :demon:
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Hoping I slathered David with sufficient sungloop to prevent this. He has not yet returned.

Yeah, it got so bad I had to resort to gloop (many thanks to Butterfly OTP), though a few hours later than strictly optimal.

Yup.  Your arms were somewhat rosey when you dropped off the brake inserts this afternoon.

Mine's fading already.  So's the weather: sky's looking whitish now and we're due thunderstorms.

Transit of Mercury starts in around 75 minutes and it's fairly sunny here in Londonton.

David and Aspietro friend will be observing.

I'll remind them to gloop up.

Both hawthorn trees in the garden are in full blossom; they are not usually in synch.
Time to cast a clout or two!
