The Monkey might be the best shot if ted can stretch his planes, trains, automobiles and a Brompton journey as far as Terling and if psyclist can overcome the gravity at the centre of the universe and if josser hasn't nicked the chef and if the team Ambulance knows the way etc,.

Anyone been in since it reopened?

That's my concern as I will be looking for pre-beer food and then beer...   perhaps you could take a look tonight for us?

No chance of that. It's nearer to you than me, I'm sure you could pop out for a gander?

Anyway, according to it's website, it's a "Gastropub" with food and drink available on Wednesday evenings, so it might suit those who aren't able to cook for themselves tomorrow.

I've been caught out by them before saying one thing on their website and the reality being very different... so I'm not going to take a punt on them

Hurdlemakers and Six Bells are certs for food (as in The Compasses of course... )

I might just stay at home at this rate!

You know that computerised thing that you take photographs with and search the internet with and post on here with, well I believe it has a secret telephony function whereby you can "ring" a pub, ask about the menu and book a table.

Rose & Crown, Gt Waltham?
You can’t just call time out and stroll on into the beach if you don’t like the way things are goin’.

I might need a nurse when I get there.

I'd be surprised if the Nurse was coming out... its been a couple of weeks on the trot for him now!

White Hart - Little Waltham ??

(R&C is OK but a bit funny last time I was in there for a pre-beer meal and then we all turned up - low choice of beer iirc. OK for a winter venue)

Andy C333333, you'll feel fine once you start drinking some "anaesthetic".

I should be out tomorrow to extend my winning streak.

Any venue is fine for me. (Within reason, not the bloody Viper)

I'd like to come out tomorrow night too. I can't ride too far. Waiting bionic knee.

I don't care about food. I can cram something in in the 45 mins I'll have btw working in London and getting home. Just want a decent beer or wine with my mates before heading off East next week where the splinter grp will hold the furthrest ever East MEMWNS!

Could be a good compromise. Still too far for me, but I know I can’t make all venues and given the limited mobility of others that could be a good option for tomorrow.

For information:

The road at Hoe Mill Lock is closed for a few weeks. There is a footway past the closure, which is bedding in.

I am sure we will be more westerly next week.

You westerners had a good run earlier in the summer so it's been nice for Fandango and I lately.

Indeed, being old, fat and unfit it's good that I've had a chance to participate

I'll try and improve my fitness over the Winter so longer rides are a possibility. (Even the bloody Viper).
