Havering between my old Lapierre and the new plastic Trek.

Problem is that the Lapierre needs a new saddle, the one that came with the Trek isn't bum-friendly beyond 100k, and breaking a new one in in 46 days will be touch & go.  I have a 2006 Ti-frame Swallow practically unused that I was thinking of selling, but I might give it the deadly water-torture instead and see what happens.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Orange Condor.

Same as last time except the brake levers don't wobble from side to side this time.

Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

A 2002 yellow Roberts Audax compact with 2015 chainrings, wheels, handlebars, cassette, chain, lumicycle lights, and pretty much anything else that isn't frame and rack.  Oh - I got the pannier in 2014.  And the bear dates from 1986.  This is the bike I used for PBP in 2007 and Mille Alba.

Same as LEL; my goldie' lookin' Ti Burls but hopefully with a much nicer seat post.

I was admiring something like that bike outside a cafe in Blackmore, Essex, on Sunday at around 11h30. Was it yours?

What on earth am I doing here on this beautiful day?! This is the only life I've got!!

Yip, that was us. Pippa discovered her skin is waterproof ;).

What brand is your Ti frame? I couldn't figure it out when I was admiring the bike at Blackmore.

is that a shiny nice new rear wheel i see, john? am assuming the one on which you finished WCW went back to its home in Islip?
Besides, it wouldn't be audacious if success were guaranteed.

Correct, it's a TREK Domane 4.3.  Well spotted.

Here it is looking shiny.

PBP will see the introduction of a rather huge Carradice Super-C saddlebag as the entire home-paris-brest-paris-home journey will be 11 days or so..

Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.
