The schools will be back so the crowds will have thinned a little.
I appreciate that many are constrained by term times but there is a weekend there and most people will not be staying the entire 4 nights anyway I suspect.
For those unfamiliar with the area there is the joys of Lancaster, Morecambe Bay, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, Arnside and Arnside Knott, Carnforth (including the famous railway station) and much more. You could even take the train out along the South Lakes coast should the mood take you.
Plenty of time to plan and NOTHING AT ALL in the forum calendar other than birthdays that I can see.
