Less interesting bridgery today; the only halfway decent ones were those carrying Stuffs across Lake Francis Case (part of the Mighty Missouri) at Chamberlain, South Dakota:

Rather sparse day on the bridge front, I'm afraid.  There are some tolerable ones over the Yellowstone River not far away but I may not have time to do the necessary.  Here is today's token small but perfectly formed bridge:

This carries WY-110 over the Belle Fourche River in north-eastern Wyoming.  WY-110 is the access road to the Bear's Tipi, or "Devils Tower" as the invaders renamed it.

Apologies in advance for the general murkiness; most of western USAnia is currently coughing under a big cloud of smoke, because a lot of it is on fire.

Currently in Clarkston WA which lies, perhaps unsurprisingly, just across the Snake River from Lewiston ID, and thus there are probably a bunch of bridges out there, but in addition to the smoke they're resurfacing the road (Bridge Street!) outside the hotel so I'm disinclined to go a-hunting for them.  Also I snapped some of them from up on the hill above the river in 2015.

Above was closed to traffic this arvo as I-84 on the Oregon side is completely closed between Troutdale and Hood River because burny fiery DETH.  Actually the worst casualty so far was a couple of walkers who got cut off, had to do a 13 mile detour with overnight stay out in the sticks and got mildly dehydrated as a result.

Clackamas River, Oregon by Mr Larrington, on Flickr

All the bridges up that road look exactly the same so I only snapped the one.

Dearth of photos - both bridgey and not - all round today because road closures caused by big burny fiery DETH led to detours totalling about a hundred and fifty miles chiz.  Also it rained, hailed and thundered, and when I turned round after the second road closure I caught up with the storm again, and then it caught up with me after the next junction.

Bah!

Ha'penny Bridge over the Liffey. Iron parts cast in Coalbrookdale, opened 1816. Originally it cost a halfpenny to cross.

After a Battle Mountain-induced bridge famine I am now travelling again.  Yesterday was lacking in bridges of any note whatsoever.  Today, on the other hand, produced these:

Any other noteworthy bridges on today's route will have already been featured back in 2014.

All these are ones carrying CA-180 over the King's River, or tributaries thereof, in King's Canyon National Park.  Except the last one, which is at Hume Lake.

A pox on the Arizona Department of Transportation for providing a surfeit of bridges entirely lacking in usable viewing spots.  So there's only this one, which lives in the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument and crosses a hole in a lava flow.
