I am not out tonight - late shift at work.

Another road that has a fresh dose of kitty litter is Little Braxted Lane - entire length from Colmans Rd bridge through to the top junction with Kelvedon Rd. This doesn't affect tonights route but it is worth avoiding til the wide tyred traffic has bedded it in a bit (a few days to a few weeks depending on your choice of cycle - it was interesting on the TT machine today!). Uphill was hard work, downhill will be dangerous until the surface is stabilized.

Held the cover in my teeth, left hand pressing the batteries into the light- I don’t know what the police were on about? (Sheepishly gets yet more bike lights... sigh. Thinks about investing in a bike light company as they clearly are a profitable venture...)

One night I will ride back with _absolutely_ no drama...

Here’s to St. Peter!

Last night's test run of the Forward Expeditionary Team to The Orange Tree was a roaring success - so much so that we agreed to return next week for the St Peters Tap Takeover

And yet more kitty litter found on the way home this morning; Some really deep mountains of small stones and dust in places.

Dancing Dicks Lane and Blunts Hall Road.

Given the route used last week was so good, can we use the same one again? :)

I was planning to do just that from the west. I wonder if the cyclist I bumped into on the way will be at the same place.

I think it being 'optional clown bike night' I may take a direct route from home this evening.

I will use the same route as last week too - the one that finishes on my sofa.

And the route avoids Peg Millars which has also been kitty littered for a while but still some deep stuff on the corners - verified this morning.

I assume as a huggy supplied route there will be no significant COR, otherwise a change of bike will be made.

There is some GS approved COR along a farm building access concreted road with a little hard unmade track.  Between Little Leighs and near Hyde Hall Lane, south of the Compasses road which you can use instead but we were all fine last week.

Is that the same GS who has recently acquired both a mountain bike and a presumably big tyred adventure bike? Evidence of the bike equivalent of a Chelsea tractor?

I'll stay on (hopefully!) the track bike then, if it stays dry.

Due to the fact that I have fitted the G1s 5 times today, and on different wheels - and they are still out of true - I will not be at Spa Road tonight.
I have, however, just serviced the Hunt wheels.  One pawl just working, no grease in freewheel bearing, and loose axle - it now runs quite a bit smoother.  I just have to clean up me and the workshop + house so 1930 at spa rd is very unlikely.  I will be at the pub.

If I knew not heading out would effect you that much I'd have made more of an effort!

Indeed. I have a destiny with a ferry, so unable to partake this evening.
