Chain oil on clothing. A tip.

I have a retro Dutch over jersey, acrylic with embossed writing, 70/80's. Yesterday i got a tad warm, took it off, and it fell on to my oily chain, big marks, and chain wheel print..... .    Came home and tried some stain remover , and washed it at 20deg,........still there.. ,  looked on line, and came across 'Dickies' website, (as  in workwear) , they suggested washing up liquid. So trickled some on the affected areas, and then rubbed it in with my fingers, then rubbed it with my finger nails, then washed at 30 deg.....BINGO!  job done!!

Mayonnaise/cooking oil/white spirit...

Have mostly used white spirit...

It's important to treat stain with something oil/solvent-based BEFORE you get water onto it, then wash with usual detergent with the hottestwater the fabric can withstand.
