Some think tank's suggestions for house building in cities. It seems that Saarfend has been selected for this treatment. Let's jolly well hope so, but I think our cretinous council would bugger anything up.

It looks bonkers, but slightly interesting.

I very much doubt it would have any actual effect on numbers of houses built.
It is simpler than it looks.

It's always amusing when it snows and shows how much road space goes unused in the actual practice of driving.

That said, like everything planning these days, what-about-the-parking.

One of the reasons the big gyratory near Bristol Temple Meads was replaced with a series of traffic lights was to release land for building, though that has (mostly if not entirely) gone to offices not accommodation.
