The big pro for Strava is it keeps recording when its stood still at the café.
Another pro is the average speed displayed on the phone is Overall Average including stops.
Another pro is the recording can be exported as a GPX.

The big con is it eats batteries and won’t last a 200 IME.

I have found the battery life lasts longer on stave compared to map my ride.
How do you export the recording  as GPX ?

Forgot.

Junked it due to the battery life issue.

If, and only IF, GPX become mandatory to finish an Audax, I'll buy the cheapest Garmin out there and keep it in a pocket while I ride.

My philosophy is "Time in reconnaissance is never time wasted."
After much recce on Nav and recording devices, I found Garmin to be excellent recording devices but another system gets to be the excellent navigator.

I use an app called Cyclemeter. It doesn't seem to use up the battery too quickly and at the end, you can email the GPX or TCX file to yourself (as I have no interest in uploading to Strava)
I am often asked, what does YOAV stand for? It stands for Yoav On A Velo
