Andy, those are very evocative.  Are they in the North-west, somewhere?  Or possibly N Yorkshire/Durham?

Couldn't have been much further out!  It was the cobbles and narrow back-streets, I suppose.  Really good.

Using what sort of Phone?

They are really nice.  Hard to imagine them being nicer using a dedicated camera really.

Always nice if you tell us what sort of phone you used.

I used the Hipstamatic app on an iPhone 4. David used an HTC Desire S. It's all in the exif data.  ;)

I can tell you you took the photo at GPS Latitude: 51.414 deg N / 0.2212 deg W.   ;)

Very interesting.

It also throws up the classic privacy issue of phones defaulting to tag your photographs with the location in which they were taken.

I've just had a look at a couple I've taken and turning off the geo-tag does do the trick.

I don't think turning off geolocation would help in this case..

Thank you.

The gargoyle is looking in the direction of the Eiffel Tower, which made me think 'grumble grumble, 123-years of staring at that bloody thing!' ;D
