After not being able to skate the London to Brighton, I consoled myself with a bit of retail therapy:




Just shows how wheel sizes are so very different between different specialisations in the sport:


You could pretty much buy a Langster for this little collection.  Most of the cost is in the frames, with a fair sum also in the small blue box of ceramic bearings.

The smaller wheeled boot looks more retro. I take it the wheels are fixed?  :P

My ankles HURT.  These big jobs take a lot more force to control them, I can see I'm going to be adapting for some time.  I put the old worn wheels on today, mostly because I was doing a lot of turning and stopping lessons, and I didn't want to wear my new set of wheels down when they cost £70.
