Windows 7 and Mapsource City Navigator
« on: 16 November, 2009, 03:55:31 pm »
I use Mapsource City Navigator to great effect.  I am thinking of getting a new laptop.  Nowadays they all come with Windows 7.  Is my existing Mapsource software likely to work with W7?

I see that stoodents (for I am one, part time anyway) get a good deal on W7 and I might avail of this at some  stage.

Are you getting it all to work ok OD? Most of the comments on the intertubes seem to indicate that it is ok apart from occasional problems with the 64-bit version.

Windows 7 with Mapsource 6.15.7 work seamlessly (weel, they do on my Acer desktop).

Never tried in the end. Sticking with my existing lappy.

I've only had my Legend HCx for a few days, but the version of Mapsource that came with it [plus updates] seems to be working perfectly on my W7 64 bit install. Creating routes and uploading them to the GPS, and downloading tracks from it.
