Apologies if this has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find the thread. Can users of the above unit
confirm that when following a course it doesn't give audible turn-by-turn alarms (whether you're following
a gpx or tcx)?

The 200 edge is an amazing device for the price. I just finished a 600k in 37 hours and it beeped on every breadcrumb turn on the route. I used a gomatic battery extender which allowed me to leave the backlight on throughout the night. I forgot to turn it off on the drive home so it ended up running for 43 hours and was still at 100 percent charge when I got home. I believe this set up will get me through the entire PBP. It does allow me to load every stage of the PBP on the device as a course. To get the audible turn sound you must download the course as a TCX file. This is my experience anyway.
