I removed my emergency toestraps from their card backing to reduce the bulk of my toolkit.  The card contained instructions.  I hope anyone wishing to fit toeclips will make a note of the important information in the first stage...

1.  Install toe-clip so open end faces toe of shoe (Fig A)

Mount them on the back of the pedal instead of the front ?

I was going to say put them on upside down but I think that amounts to the same thing
