Steel suppliers

I'm looking for a good supplier of mild steel (black), for things like 25x3mm bar, 25x25x3 angle etc. Any suggestions? There are a few like "Metals4u" online but I suspect that there will be better suppliers out there.

If you just want small quantities eBay often works out cheaper than buying from a large supplier.  If you want lots, find someone local and collect.

We use Metals4U at work to buy ally plate.
They seem to be competetive - we're not buying vast amounts.

I've been looking around East London without much success, hence the request

FYI, from what I can see, they are 20% - 100% the price of https://www.aluminiumwarehouse.co.uk/

eg 2mx1m 1.2 milled sheet, £30.41 vs £38.16 and £10.14vs £18.14

Not very east: https://www.metalsupermarkets.co.uk/park-royal/

David has used them in the past, as he remarked on the bus, on our return from CMH last week. Would have popped in again but didn't have dimensions needed at the time.

Edwards is our local supplier. Amenable to small quantities and strange requests, if that's relevant. http://www.edwardsmetals.co.uk

I just searched for "steel stockholder" in my local area - ended up with these guys: https://www.bmengineers.co.uk/ . They are able to order things if they don't have it, and they will sell (and chop up) the offcut sheet for me to practise welding. Not local to you, but I'd imagine there must be similar people near you?
