Left the rock and visited Jaded yesterday - few beers and measures of whisky gazing over Loch Broom as the sun went down, a wonderful night :)

A man arrived, carrying beer and whisky, armed with a sense of humour.

Fantastic! Thank you.
It is simpler than it looks.

This abuse from a bloke whose disability prevents him bending and so he has his pockets sewn to the turn ups of his trousers!
 :P ;D

Shouldn't he be renamed Tractorman?  ;D

Butterfly, TJ & young Nye in a nice cafe in Kinver.
Good to see them and, for me, a thoroughly enjoyable ride and lunch.

I haven't spotted anyone, but I'd like to congratulate you all for keeping this thread going that I started nearly 10 years ago!

Well, I spotted CET and Phil W on the Scottish Ride last weekend, both of whom I'd never met before.

I was wearing an Audax Ecosse top all the way round ( indeed, the *only* AE top I saw, which surprised me a wee bit ).
But in the cooler watches of the night I deployed my Spare Jersey and gillet, which were red YACF ones on account of them being big enough to wear over a normal jersey.

On my way driving the OH down to Winchester I take a comfort break at Didcot services, and spot a bike propped up against the railings. 'That looks like an Audaxy bike' think I - Carradice on the back, tribars, dyno lighting. Upon returning from the loo I spot someone in a pink YACF jersey, and say hello - it turns out to be iddu at the end of a 400K. Nice to meet another YACFer in person, however briefly.

Indeed saw a few forum faces for first time last weekend. Mostly I see the Essex crew of this parish. Busy building up my warranty replacement frame into bike this week. Next audax next weekend, so build has a focused deadline.

I had the pleasure of meeting Hatler on this weekend's FNRttC to Brighton.  It appears that he and I may be the only wearers of the Orange long-sleeve YACF top.  His is cleaner than mine.

There was also someone in a yellow YACF jersey but I didn't get the chance to find out who  ::-)
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?

I didn't notice any AE or yacf jerseys on the ride, so I guess that means our paths didn't cross.

I saw a chap in a Basingstoke jersey at the finish, who I later realised must have been CET - if I'd realised sooner, I would have said hello.

Also spotted Phil W at the start but didn't get the chance to say hello.

At least a few of the people whose company I enjoyed along the way must be yacfers but I didn't make the connection.

Cycling westwards on NCN 81 in Wolverhampton town centre this morning: a bearded male with peaked cap on a heavily laden 2 wheel recumbent, SWB and OSS (I think). Anyone we know?

At the HPV World's at Betteshanger: Kim (not difficult as she was camped dead opposite me) and Tim Hall (and The Boy) who rocked up to watch this afternoon's race and were immediately co-opted as marshals!  Thanks, chaps.

Doesn't he dedicate that flesh unto the lord? Or was it his dedication that was a problem?

Confirmed, Mr Larrington's actually real, and not just one of the little people who lives in my computer, as I was beginning to suspect.

The Boy is also real, and much taller than you might think.

They do that. Ridiculously thin, too. Oh and ever so quick on a roadbike...
