Another day, another...late start.

No sign of tracker activity at 6am.

Hotel booked in Bournemouth tonight.

He's underway now but looks to be heading north west.
I was hoping to meet him if he headed to Bournemouth but with strong winds a factor, plans could change.
I'll be setting off in about half an hour and see where he is heading then.

He's on the A422 to Buckingham again.  Maybe it could be renamed the Steve Abraham Highway.  Light snow overnight in Basingstoke so expect he will have to stick to main roads today.

Yes, he could be going to Bournemouth.  Let's see if I can intercept him somewhere.
There's light snow in west London too, now being washed away by light rain.

Route prediction looks difficult to me, given the possible need to follow main roads, and the possible need to put in some loops in to gain mileage.

All assuming the destination is Bournemouth, which it might not be.

I will take a wild guess that Frank will pick Steve up on the A34.

Snow in Reading, but main roads Ok.  If he's heading to Bournemouth via Reading or Pangbourne I'll see if I can catch up with him today

Well he's probably being snowed on as we speak - we're about 10 miles south of where he is now and have around 6mm. Falling lightly but main roads will be snow free.

While watching Steve's progress we can also watch live the attempt on the Hour Record by Jack Bobridge see http://www.timetriallingforum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=96116&page=9

Yes, we are here at the Hotel Collingwood awaiting Steve's arrival later.

Looking a little milder and drier here.  3c at the moment.

Don't envy him this morning with that lot. We've got much the same here: the traffic's going through all right but everything is splattered with icy muck & salt.  Better get the hose ready in Bournemouth.

If he had a live video feed I'd never get out of this chair.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

His route is clearly avoiding March Gibbon this morning.

Thanks for that hour record link, looks like a failure, that's tough after all that pain. Jens really is a legend

Easy 150 miles planned for today
Worst of the snow was north of Aylesbury but ZOK now.
Stuffing my face north of Wallingford in a garden centre.
Route is Pangbourne, down to the A4 then on to Hungerford. Then A388 straight down to Fordingbridge with some main road dodging in Salisbury.
I'll stop for another feed in 50 or so miles.
If I don't ride another mile today I am still on my 87000 mile schedule
