To Hull and back (to the bridge) seems to have been missed by the tracker so the it's only showing 28 miles as opposed to 58 on Ivan's site.

Steve's last 7 days have yielded over 1450 miles

I can remember the late (great) Jack Eason after he had just finished the LEL at Thorne Rugby Club saying that he wanted to get a 1000 miles ridden in 7 days.    Steve spent many hours riding with "Uncle Jack" in his early audaxing days, Jack was always "struggling" but I haven't seen any evidence that Steve is struggling.

I would like to catch Steve on one of his visits up t'north, but I'll have to change my sleeping pattern, whenever I go onto his daily progress  website before breakfast he is already back down south.

PS Lincolnshire is classed as "down south" as far as I am concerned!

Wow!... I just pulled up the tracker page for the first time today and Steve has already done 85 miles. I thought "Blimey, he had an early start" but then noticed the elapsed time is only 3h31m. Bloody Hell - He's flying today!

Go Steve

It's dry and fairly sunny here in the Fens - I'd guess Steve will be tracking this way again to keep East of the rain and ride the tailwind back into MK. Maybe he will do the Friday Bridge/March route rather than Kings Lynn and the A10 that he did yesterday.

Go Steve!!!
If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...

If the weather in Lincolnshire is anything like Gloucestershire he'll have a stonking tailwind. I just hope he hasn't got our rain.

Very confused track on http://audaxclubhackney.co.uk/tg.html

If steve started the day by going south cave - Hull, that is a bit of a climb to get going with. The wiggle in Hull looks like Hull's one-way system, but then heading out to Brough? I guess it is pretty flat.

Did he forget to switch off his cooker?  He's making fairly quick work of getting back to MK.

Sunny in Saarfend today. Mrs. Wow and I were thinking about a day's cycling but knackeredness has meant that we have only just got out of bed.

If it wasn't for grandparental duties we's be out there leading Steve. Honest.

Not avoiding the Lincs Wolds, either. Lesser evil than Friday 13th traffic on the flatter bits, maybe.

Nope. Tracker says 50-something. Google Route says 80+

EDIT: Tracker must be playing up. Just refreshed and it now says 50 something #deflated!

That's got to be wrong, Steve was staying in South Cave area.

I agree with mrcharly, I looked earlier and I'm sure tracker showed Steve coming from South Cave, now that leg is missing hmm.

There is some kind of 'privacy' setting on the tracker to avoid revealing exact locations of stops - maybe this kicked in? My tracker seems fine now.

When I just happened to wake up and started this thread, Steve's pointer was at South Cave and he hadn't, as my OP mentioned, actually recorded any distance.

And at 7:30 your tracker showed a track going from South Cave into nearly the middle of Hull, and with an extra loop by somewhere like Anlaby/Hessle before crossing the bridge. The trackleaders site didn't include anything east of the bridge., so there was 30 miles difference (28/58).

I was asleep again by then. No doubt the gpx track will reveal all.
