Interesting.....
(Values as of around 8:45 tonight)
As I understand them, these trackers are as follows:-
Trackleaders is the raw SPOT track, with, I believe, the earlier part of the track thinned out to have more sparse points (at leastthat's what is displayed - maybe their estimated daily distance uses the full resolution of the track points?)
Ivan 1 is the site that takes the displayed Trackleaders track and interpolates a Google route through the points.
Ivan 2 displays a gpx that I believe is the Trackleaders track points saved periodically throughout the day (so it is not reduced in temporal resolution for the early part of the ride).
My gut feeling is that I'd expect Ivan 1 (Google route) to display highest distance, followed by Ivan 2 followed by Ivan 3.
The above is the reverse of that order.
I think one of my assumptions maybe wrong (probably the one about the Trackleaders distance number being based on the thinned out earlier track points... I'm pretty sure that used to be the case - I have a vague memory of seeing the mileage go down as a few loops got smeared out of the early data as they passed far enough into the past to hit the thinning of data points cutoff).
The SPOT track number quoted in Ivan1 is, as I understand it, the distance along the trackleaders displayed track (including the thinned out early section), so I suppose the fact that that does not agree with the Trackleaders number indicates that Trackleaders is indeed not doing what I thought it was for the distance calculation...
But if Trackleaders is just using the non-thinned track, as per Ivan 2, then surely it should agree with that?
Colour me confused...
