[HAMR] 1st October - Teethgrinder Day 55/274
« on: 01 October, 2015, 11:48:29 am »
He's away at 9.49am, heading Eastwards again at 15mph. The weather's still fine in the NW, so hope he has much more of the same.

13:46 — it looks like he's heading up Royston Lane, possibly the steepest road in Cambridgeshire at 10%.  However, it's only that steep for a few metres and you enter Essex literally a few metres after that.  Let's hope he doesn't break a wheel on the major potholes on the way down the other side (DAMHIKT ).

EDIT:  bullet dodged — Steve turned left and headed downhill, obviously scared off by the sight of the ever-steepening ramp ahead of him ... or just fancied visiting Ickleton — with a name like that, who wouldn't?  :P
Lockdown lethargy. RRTY: wot's that? Can't remember if I'm on #8 or #9 ...

An hour ago I thought Steve was going to have another away day.  But it now looks like he's on the way home.
Bit of a late night for the home support crew then.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

The body clock is a strange thing. I find the 6am starts hard and when I ride DIY I normally start 8am. Life has taught me that your body knows what it needs and if Steve is starting later it his body that is telling him that - go with the flow and do not push too hard and let the miles flow.
