Battery life on Garmin edge.

I have decided its time for me to get a GPS.The thing I am worried about is battery life.I like to ride audax .A 200 km ride takes me about 10 hrs.so if I decide to stick to 200-300 events a edge would do fine.The question is do they still last up to a 15 hr ride in a years time.

External battery packs are your friend.

Li-ion are reckoned to show deterioration after 2 years, regardless of usage.

Agreed.   Can you spot the external battery pack?  It is in the side pocket of the tri feed bag.
