YACF mini-league code is 23185921
-
Provisional team entered!
In case anyone is wondering what the code refers to: Velogames (http://www.velogames.com)
-
Simon says I can't spell fellons. Oh well
-
I suspect I'm being thick, but where's the "pick your team" link? I can see rules, lists of riders etc.

I'm in again, might make last minute changes to my team, so all the riders are in the race this time

Yes, I'm registered as perpetualdan and joined in before, but can't see the "enter a team" link.
-
I'm in, representing a certain banned Spanish rider. For some odd reason he's decided to race in Rapha Condor kit this time.
I've got Sagan and Cav to look after the sprints, Wiggo to win the GC and Tony Martin and Spartacus to top up my TT points. Apart from that, hopefully EBH will be let loose to win a stage - or at least he will if Brad goes out of contention. You could say he's my insurance policy.

Ah, now I see it, the big button with red around it. :-[ I was looking for a link in the text.
-
I'm in as VC Ostrica.
Had a look at some of my rival teams and keep seeing riders I wish I'd picked. But then I wouldn't know who to drop from my team to accommodate them... this is almost as difficult as actually riding the race.

I'm in. Team 'Shitkickers'.
-
...and to think I'd considered the name "Ass-tana" but decided it was crude.
I'll hopefully bump into you in Liege, where I fully intend to be wearing the YACF yellow jersey by the end of the day. Fingers crossed.

16 team, 15 with Wiggins
I'm in again, might make last minute changes to my team...
Or maybe 16 by the start.
-
16 team, 15 with Wiggins
I had a quiet spell at work yesterday afternoon, so I did a bit of statistical analysis of the team selections. There were only 14 teams then, 13 with Wiggins. More interestingly, there were only two with Evans (Gus being one of them, of course).
I'll update the stats and post them later if anyone is as sad as me interested.

I think the riders are too cheap this year. A lot of the teams have the same names popping up, because everyone's selecting all the best riders. Where else could I get Wiggo, Cav, Peter Sagan, Spartacus, EBH and Tony Martin in a team together? I'm not sure even Sky's budget could stretch to all the riders in Team Audaxtanta.

I had Wiggo on my team at first, but discovered everyone else had him so I picked Hejsedal instead. I still might last minute adjustments
since all teams still haven't named their line up.

I've entered Richard's Rockets
-
I've entered unhinged racing but can't seem to log in or reset the password either ???
-
I'm in as VC Fungus
-
My boys are tucked up for an early night ready to light the tyres tomorrow afternoon ;D
-
I'm hoping mine don't go the way of every horse I ever bet on for the national, or there'll be a lot of cyclists heading to the glue factory tomorrow morning.
-

I rather suspect mine are out trying the Belgian beer.

There should be a buzzword bingo for newspaper headlines with bad puns..
"sky's the limit!"
"Wiggona win the tour"
"Going, going wiggone" (hope not)
"Cavtastic"

Team Irn Bru are made from girders.

I couldn’t find him.
Edit: but I have now.

Just managed some last minute changes, going for classement riders and not that many etape winners. ;)

And I decided to squeeze Wiggo to the team next to Evans.
-
Very pleased with my teams performance today ;D
Early days I know ....
-
I have two teams, one of them is sans wiggo. I have
Skip Cadel Evans as my GC hopeful in that
The second team "Random Factor" is doing better at the moment than the Wiggo team "comme vache qui pisse"
-
I have two teams
Is that allowed?
Not good news for those who selected Tony Martin. He had to go to hospital last night after a fall just 11km into yesterday's stage. Bad wrist and either bruised or broken leg (probably bruised, given that he managed to complete the stage in the first group).
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/injured-martin-to-make-decision-on-continuing-before-stage-2
"I hope that it is only a bad bruise and not a break," Martin said. "Then I will try to fight my way through until the time trial on the coming Monday."
-
I am so pleased I went for Sagan :D
-
I would like to apologise to the riders I have inadvertently jinxed by selecting them. Get well soon, Messers Rojas and Martin.
:(
-

Me too! And EBH! And Chavanel!
Only Hoogerland and Kruiswijk yet to pick up any points for me, but I'm expecting them to start scoring on Saturday (also when Cancellara will stop scoring).
d.
-
I'm still beating you! I currently have the yellow jersey in all three mini-leagues I've entered. Tony Martin and David Moncutie have now picked up their first points, which means that all of mine are scorers.

Have you entered the BC league? There's a signed Wiggo jersey up for grabs for the winner, IIRC.
d.
-
No I haven't, though there's a guy in there who's 700 points clear of me.
I'm 300 points ahead of you, but Tony Martin's just quit. Can I hold my lead to Paris without him?
-
I'm second to last. Thomas Voeckler's knee is letting me down ....
-
I'm letting me down.
-
At least I'm ahead of Toby!
-
I'm second to last. Thomas Voeckler's knee is letting me down ....
Not so much today.

I don't rate his chances tomorrow though going on his attempt at hobbling off the podium! It was a great brave stage win wasn't it?

Yay ! and even Jens has got me some points now.
-
Cancellara's baby could be my undoing.

Cancellara's baby could be my undoing.
Didn't do your research, did you? ;D
-
Cancellara never picks up points after the first week anyway, but with 700 in the bank, that's still more than most other riders will score.
d.
-
Hoogerland and Kruiswijk both in the break today - I wonder if either of the feckless eejits will finally pick up any sodding points for me... ::-)

Quite. Lieuwe Westra also packed today and his score was zero ;D
-
I was hoping for a Fab load of points on the second time trial. As Simon said, I didn't do my research!
-
Well, to be fair, I didn't know about it either, but he isn't on my team. My research amounted to "have I heard of this guy? yes!" apart from Sagan who I read about for about 5 minutes.

You witnessed me doing my careful research ... on Wikipedia ;D
-
I tend to pick people I like. At least this year they all started and all of them have got me some points.
-
Well done Mr Bunbury, though Citoyen was running you close by the end. My flops were Leipheimer (what was I thinking?) and Iglinsky. Shame about Kittel but I'm sure most teams had abandonments. Velits P redeemed himself a little in the TT. I must read the scoring system next time - Jurgen VdB only 528 points?
-
I think it's only updated as far as the TT. There should be mega points handed out for the overall results whenever it gets updated, maybe tomorrow.
I certainly hope so, as I've been beaten into 2nd and 3rd in the other leagues I'm playing, so I'm hoping the final results will reverse that!
-
How many riders did people finish with? I had fie left at the finish, I think:-
Wiggins #1
Taaramae #36
Froome #2
Cav #142 ;)
Casar #22
Most of the rest were lost by stage 7 -
Astarloza - stage 6
Freire - stage 7
Hesjedal - Stage 7
With Mollema lasting past halfway...
Mollema - Stage 11
-
I was rubbish  :-[

Oh yes, I'm second to the appropriately named team of Bradders and Cav. Of course, I selected the team understanding the scoring system perfectly.

Unbefrickinglieveable! I wear the yellow jersey for the entire tour and then get beaten into fourth place on the Champs Elysees! I thought that the last day was meant to be a procession?
Oh well, I won last year so I suppose I really needed to let someone else have a turn :P

;D
Tejay and Van Den Broeck turned out to be my most inspired choices, but then "Bradders and Cav" and "No Limits" had both of them too, plus Froome...
Foolishly, I went for EBH as my second Sky pick instead, thinking Froome would have been used up by the end of the mountain stages.
