Fancy something hardcore?
« on: 19 April, 2010, 08:00:08 am »
I've just had notification of an event that will help to get some miles under the wheels - ideal training for Mille Cymru?

The Diablo's Triple 1000 mini brevet series starts on June 5th, with the Upsy-Downsy 1000. No climbing total or route sheet has been posted for this one yet, but the name suggests it won't be pancake flat.
Nicely rested after then end of this, you start the Eureka 1000 on June 9th which has 9100m of climb.
Having warmed yourself up, you can then cruise around the Hare and Tortoise 1000 starting on June 13, which has a mere 8100m of climb.

They are ACP BRM rides, so will count towards your early PBP entry.

The Hare and Tortoise is boringly main road in large part, reportedly.
Wheel meet again, don't know where, don't know when...

It's the 3am starts which are putting me off  little.  Otherwise...

But you are forgetting the time difference - as long as you stay on UK time it'll be like having a lie in before you start...
