Retrospective Points Claim?

One of my riding companions on this weekend's audax has recently joined AUK after riding couple of events earlier in the year as a non-member.  As at least one of these rides carries AAA points she was wondering whether it is possible to make a retrospective claim for points earned during the membership year, but before actually having AUK membership.

I believe they can but must retain their brevet cards (unless the organiser put them on the online results list as a non AUK member) to retrospectively claim the points
